Spend the day with Mikey from the infamous Picklehead and the Shank Brothers BBQ learning the tricks for the ultimate Pickle.                                

Fermenting vegetables is not only a great way to store seasonal produce – it also enhances the availability of vitamins and minerals within the vegetable to give you a double hit of goodness. And they go bloody great with a beer! Participants will make a vinegar based pickle and a traditional fermented sauerkraut.

Director-photographer Mikey Hilburger and his wife, Lizzie, set up Picklehead Pickles in June 2012 using base recipes from Mikey's mother. They began small-scale commercial production of three types of pickle in 2015.
